Using the Library Print Page

Get a Library Card

Current Students:  Provide current AWC or NAU-Yuma student ID, or photo ID and student ID number.

Dorm StudentsIn addition to the ID requirements, provide a secondary address and AWC Dorm address.

AWC Remote Site/Distance Students:  If enrolled in classes away from the main Yuma campus, or in fully online classes, apply for a library card online.

Yuma County Residents who are not Students:  Provide current photo ID and separate *proof of current Yuma County street address.

Winter Visitors and other Non-Residents of Yuma County:  Provide current photo ID and separate *proof of current Yuma County street address. Similar proof of out-of-state address is also required.

Individuals 13 to 17 years of age:  Provide current photo ID and separate *proof of current Yuma County street address. Parental permission required by signature in person. However, if enrolled at AWC or NAU-Yuma permission is not needed. No cards issued to children under 13 years old.

*Proof of street address includes such items as a current utility bill, imprints on personal checks, voter registration card, bank statement, e-statements, and rent receipts.


Check Out Books & Videos

To check out material:

1. Go to the Circulation Desk

2. Present your Academic Library card to check out materials

Don't forget your due date receipt!

REMINDER: You MUST have your Academic Library card to check out anything.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

Books can be checked out for up to 3 weeks.  Patrons are limited to 4 books on a single topic and a maximum of 15 books overall.
Other formats such as Reserve items, DVDs, CDs, and cassettes have different check-out time availabilities, depending on the item. 



Renew Your Books Online

There are two ways to renew your material:
  • Renew at the Circulation Desk.  You will need your Academic Library card & the items you wish to renew.  NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • To Renew books online, click: Renew Books.
  • Follow the instructions on the page.
  • You will need your Academic Library card and PIN (the number issued to you when you received your library card).
  • If you have forgotten your PIN, you can call 928.317.5884 or come in to the library's Circulation desk.

Late Fees

Late Fees:
  • Books--$.15 a day.
  • Media (DVD, CD, VHS, Cassette)--$1.00 a day.
  • Reserve Desk material--$1.00 a day.
  • If you have a substantial amount of late fees, you may not be able to register for classes, and/or receive your grades, and/or your offical transcripts.
  • Late fees can be paid at the Academic Library --OR-- the AWC Business Office.

Printing and Copying

Computer copies--

  • All computer print jobs are payable at the Circulation Desk.
  • Black/White copies are $.10 a page
  • Color copies are $.50 a page
  • If you have used the all money on your student account for printing:
  • Go to the COMPUTER LAB in the AC Building to add money to your printing account, OR
  • Pay for each print job at the Circulation Desk.


  • Self-service photocopy machines (two black & white copiers and one color) are available in the library.  Change is available.
  • Black/white copies are $.10 per page
  • Color copies are $.50 per page
